EMAN is an EU funded project with the final aim to establish a sustainable network of all stakeholders involved in radiation protection with regard to the application of ionising radiation in the medical sector. The interim report has now been approved by the European Commission and tghe project enters the second phase as planned. |

| MEDRAPET (Medical Radiation Protection Education & Training) |

| MEDRAPET is the name of the new project, financed by the European Commission, that started on the 4th of February in a "kick off meeting" in Luxembourg. Not only the EU member states will be involved, but also the EFTA countries and the countries on the waiting list to enter the European Union. |

| Evaluation directive 2005/36EC - Recognition of professional qualifications |

| On the 29th of October the EFRS was represented by a member of the EFRS expert group in a meeting of the European Commission Market & Services DG in Brussels about the evaluation process of the directive 2005.36 on recognition of professional qualifications. |
